The 2025 Pilot at a Glance
Pilot Overview The 2025 Honda Pilot is one of our favorite three-row SUVs. It has a robust V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower, a spacious interior, and lots of cargo space. The Pilot was redesigned in 2023, receiving several updates, including larger dimensions, some rugged exterior looks, and an updated infotainment system. These updates, along with a comfortable ride and easy-to-use controls, keep the Pilot competitive with top rivals.
Like all three-row SUVs, the Pilot is large. In fact, it's the biggest vehicle that Honda has ever made, but that doesn't keep it from being relatively agile. The Pilot has quick acceleration, impressive passing power (even when fully loaded), and stable handling for a vehicle its size. The cabin is constructed with quality materials and provides drivers with a simple, easy-to-operate set of controls. Passengers will appreciate the abundant small-item storage and they're unlikely to run out of cupholders (the Pilot has 14).
All of the Pilot's seats are comfortable and spacious. The third row can accommodate most adults, and getting in and out is pretty easy, thanks to a removable center seat in the second row. That seat, once removed, can be stored in the subfloor of the trunk - a thoughtful solution for owners who only occasionally need seating for eight. If you're looking for some off-road capability, the Pilot has you covered there, too. The TrailSport trim has all-terrain tires, off-road-tuned suspension, and underbody skid plates to protect the underbody from damage.

What is the Interior Like in the 2025 Pilot?
To answer your question in simple terms: stunning!Â
As rivals try to wow shoppers with futuristic and minimal interior styling, the 2025 Honda Pilot takes a measured approach that should be familiar and easy to use. There are plenty of buttons and shortcuts to operate often-used controls without having to dig through on-screen menus. The cabin is quiet and spacious, with 40.8 inches of legroom in the second-row seating area, and 32.5 inches in the third row.
The Pilot's removable second-row middle seat on Touring and Elite trims is one of our favorite features. It gives owners greater flexibility and versatility for passengers and cargo by transforming the three-seat bench into captain's chairs. Even better, there's a space under the cargo floor to store the middle seat when not in use.
In our recent test-drive of the Pilot TrailSport, we loaded luggage for four people behind the second row, sliding in three suitcases and multiple large duffles. The Pilot's lightweight tailgate and large storage area made the loading process a breeze.Â

2025 Pilot Infotainment, Connectivity, and Convenience Features.
The 2025 Honda Pilot Sport comes with a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen. Higher trims upgrade to a 9-inch display. The Pilot's touchscreen placement high atop the dashboard reduces distraction, and physical buttons and knobs allow for operation without having to look away from the road. The infotainment system is easy to use and its graphics are crisp and clear.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto phone integration is standard, and it's wireless in the top four models, which also get a wireless charging pad. The Touring, Elite, and Black Edition trims include a 12-speaker Bose audio system.Â

How does the 2025 Pilot Handle on the Road?
Powering the 2025 Honda Pilot is a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 285 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, which makes it one of the most powerful SUVs in its class. The smooth and refined V6 is paired with a well-tuned 10-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. The Pilot is quick enough for most buyers, even when loaded with people and cargo, and the transmission does a good job of selecting the right gear for maximum performance.
