The 2025 CR-V at a Glance

CR-V Overview The Honda CR-V is extremely popular. Not only is it consistently the brand's best-selling model, it is one of the top choices in the U.S. Last year the CR-V Hybrid was the best-selling hybrid vehicle. This success is due to the CR-V's smart design, enjoyable driving experience, and spacious accommodations. It is smooth and refined, with a comfortable ride. The CR-V's turbocharged models pack enough power and handling for most buyers. The hybrid models are quicker and deliver exceptional fuel economy. Honda's excellent all-wheel-drive system is available across the lineup. Inside there's plenty of space, impressive build quality, and cool, minimalistic design. Honda is at its best when it keeps it simple, and the CR-V's cabin doesn't complicate things. All the controls are exactly where you want them to be and the design is understated but upscale. The CR-V's tech is up-to-date and intuitive.

All-wheel drive is standard on the Sport Touring and available on the rest of the range. The EX is the popular choice, but the Sport is our pick for best value.

What is the Interior Like in the 2025 CR-V?

To answer your question in simple terms: stunning!
The Honda CR-V's interior is one of our favorites in the compact SUV class. Its uncluttered, expansive horizontal dash features a honeycomb mesh inlay that hides the heat and A/C vents. The CR-V is also very comfortable; its supportive front seats feel great on long drives. The CR-V has more rear-seat legroom than most rivals, and its back seat reclines. Three passengers fit in back without awkwardly knocking knees. Outward visibility is excellent, build quality is top-notch, and there's plenty of interior storage. The door pockets are big, and the CR-V has the largest center console bin in its class.

The CR-V offers a generous 36.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second-row seats and 76.5 cubic feet with its back seat folded flat. That's more maximum cargo space than you get in its top competitors. On non-hybrid EX and EX-L models, the CR-V's rear load floor can be lowered, offering up an extra 3 cubic feet of storage space.

Additional Interior Options
  • Automatic Front Power Windows

2025 CR-V Infotainment, Connectivity, and Convenience Features.
Honda's infotainment systems have significantly improved over the past few years, becoming much faster to respond and easier to use. The brand still doesn't offer the industry's largest touchscreens, but they're big enough. The 2025 Honda CR-V LX, EX, and Sport trims have a standard 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, physical knobs for volume and tuning, and a simplified menu structure. The top three trims get a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a volume knob. Navigating from screen to screen or function to function in the CR-V is simple and its graphics are clean and modern. The Honda's audio systems are adequate, with the exception of the Sport Touring's premium 12-speaker Bose audio system, which produces excellent sound. A cubby in front of the shifter is wide enough to accommodate two smartphones and includes USB-A and USB-C ports. Hybrid models add dual USB chargers for rear-seat passengers. A wireless phone charger is standard on the EX-L trim and up.

How does the 2025 CR-V Handle on the Road?
The 2025 Honda CR-V is available with two powertrains. LX, EX, and EX-L trims come with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder rated at 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is optional. The CR-V's peak low-end torque blooms early, making for impressive engine and pedal response.

The more powerful hybrid models offer a sportier driving experience. Sport, Sport-L, and Sport Touring trims use a 2.0-liter gas engine augmented with dual electric motors for a combined 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque. That's quite a bit of torque, and it gives the CR-V good punch off the line and lets the hybrid models tow up to 1,000 pounds. All-wheel drive is standard on the Sport Touring trim, optional on the others.

The CR-V features a long wheelbase, wide stance, and well-tuned suspension. Handling is stable, especially with the available all-wheel drive. All CR-Vs deliver a smooth ride.
